Cat trees aren't supposed to fly.  Or are they?

This new post over at Cool Cat Tree Plans challenges you to consider that very thing.  Or at least gets you to thinkin about using that unclaimed space over your head.

Yup, this cat playground hangs from the ceiling.  Is that fun or what?

Just imagine what your kids'll think.  I don't know about you but mine would go nuts for this.  Thing is, I'd have trouble keeping them out of it!

Hi there, today's super spiffy stuff is a sisal cat tree.  I've been finding stuff all over the place about why this kind of cat furniture is so cool.

To start with sisal is a very tough kind of natural rope. 

Yep, it's made out of plant fibers so it's all natural and a renewable resource.  So you can feel good about using it.

Because it's rope, sisal is easy to work with.  You just wind it around the post of your cat tree and "poof" you have a very tough surface for your kitty to scratch on. 

And it's mucho easy to replace when it gets worn.

Another great thing about using sisal to make a cat tree is it's cheap!

No not cheap as in tacky but cheap as in inexpensive.  A spool of this stuff doesn't cost all that much and it's easily found in most building supply shops or here at Amazon.
